- They are hygroscopic, meaning they absorb moisture to a great extent.
- They are antistatic.
- They retain their color without damage.
- They are very soft and shiny.
- They are not elastic (clothes made from 100% viscose do not stretch).
- When wet, especially during washing, they tend to deform, so extra care must be taken.
Tip #1 Ideally, viscose garments should be hand washed in cool water. If you choose to machine wash them, use the delicate cycle with very low water temperature and turn the clothes inside out to preserve their color and shine.
Tip #2 The detergent used should be mild. If it’s eco-friendly, even better!
Tip #3 For drying, avoid wringing and excessive spinning, as this may damage the garment's shape. Also, avoid drying near heat sources or in a dryer. It's recommended to either lay the garment flat or hang it directly on a hanger so it can return to its shape as it dries.
Tip #4 For ironing, turn the garment inside out to avoid damaging its quality.
Tip #5 There's always the option of dry cleaning for a safer cleaning method.
